Direct Traffic Management

Who We Are

Founded in June 1992, Direct Traffic Management Ltd has grown to become one of the UK’s leading traffic management specialists. Based near Doncaster, South Yorkshire, we are strategically positioned to provide rapid, efficient access to the nation’s major A-roads and motorways. As a founding member of the TMCA (Traffic Management Contractors Association) one of only 12 companies in the country to hold this distinction, we represent the gold standard in the traffic management industry.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide an efficient, safe, and cost-effective traffic management service that ensures the UK’s highway systems remain operational and safe. We strive to build long-term, trusting partnerships with our clients by delivering high-quality service from the initial consultation and design stages through to on-site implementation, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Our Core Values

At Direct Traffic, our operations are built on a foundation of safety and technological advancement:

  • Safety First: Health and safety are paramount. We maintain an exemplary accident record and are active members of the British Safety Council and CHAS.
  • Excellence in Training: We ensure every team member, from site operatives to senior management, is trained to the highest industry standards.
  • Innovation: We utilize the latest technologies, including the MyMobileWorkers digital platform, to ensure complete transparency, increased efficiency, and high-quality data reporting for our clients.
  • Environmental Responsibility: We are committed to minimizing our environmental impact by using vehicle tracking software to reduce mileage and fuel consumption across our large fleet.
  • Reliability: Whether working on large regional frameworks or smaller sole-trader jobs, we deliver a “one-stop shop” service that is always compliant with current legislation (ISO 9001:2015 and NHSS 12A/B & 12D).

What We Do

We support a diverse range of sectors, including utilities, construction, and high-speed road networks:

  • High-Speed Works (12A/B): Support for Britain’s motorways alongside the country’s largest infrastructure firms.
  • Streetworks (12D): National traffic management services on all road classifications.
  • Event Management: Bespoke planning and assistance for everything from local fetes to international sporting events.
  • Technical Services: Site surveys, technical design, risk assessments, and safe systems of working.
